Dudley-Helen M.(Pikora) Rukat, 90, passed away on Friday, April 20, at Lanessa Extended Care in Webster after a period of declining health. Her husband of 38 years, Carol P. Rukat, died in 2015. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was born in Dudley, MA, one of 16 children of the late John and the late Ann (Patrowicz) Pikora. She is predeceased by 15 siblings: brothers Adolph Suchocki, Joseph, Stanley, John, Francis, Walter and Peter, sisters: Frances, Mary, Anna, Bernice, Anastasia(Pearl), Rose, Teresa and Constance.
Helen was very devoted to her family; she loved her cat Fluffy, gardening and enjoyed dancing to polkas. She worked at American Optical in Southbridge, Ma for 39 years. While at the American Optical, she was a member of the Quarter Century Club and was very active in the companies’ chorus and outings. She was also a member of Saint Andrew Bobola in Dudley, where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality as well as a member of the St Anne’s Society of The Basilica in Webster, Mass.

A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, April 25 with a Mass at 11 AM at St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main St., Dudley. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 25 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster, Ma 01570 .
