Thompson, CT- James W. Beauregard, age 74, died Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the W. Roxbury Veterans Hospital, Boston. 

He leaves his wife of 24 years, Sandra E. (Wagher) Beauregard; two daughters; Shannon and her husband Keith Krusas and Kelly Dionne both of Oxford; two step-sons, John Leake Jr. of Brimfield and Francis Leake of Tempe, AZ; two step-daughters; Lori and her husband Darren Friedman of Severville, TN and Jennifer Perry of Thompson, CT; 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; a sister, Janet and her husband Tom Standring of Leicester.

He was born in Worcester son of the late Wilfred and Barbara (Cutting) Beauregard and lived in Thompson for the past 24 years, prior to that living in Auburn.  He was U.S. Marine Corp. Veteran serving two tours in Vietnam.  He also was a Drill Instructor at Paris Island.  He played hockey at Auburn High and was inducted to the Hall of fame.  He was known as the "Lamp Lighter."  He enjoyed yard work and the casino and was a avid hunter and fishermen.  He was in car sales and worked for  Riverside Auto in Auburn and also worked previously at Colonial Autobody for many years.
