Webster- Kenneth N. Carson age 83 died Thursday, March 16, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He leaves a son Kenneth J. Carson and his wife Mary of Framingham; and two daughters, Pebbles J. Carson and her fiance Bernard Baldwin Jr. of Holland and Susan M. Ricard and her fiance David Gardner of Webster. His son Craig P. Carson predeceased him in 1997. He leaves 11 grandchildren: Ashley, Nicholas, Joseph, Tess, Isabel, Samuel, Kenneth, Jillian, Jacquelyn, Terrence and Juliana. His granddaughter Sophia predeceased him in 2002. He also had 11 great-grandchildren: Elias, Ana, Eve, Taryn, Aalana, Lila, Alice, Esmae, Maria, Annaliese and Julio.

He was born in Boston, son of Kenneth G. Carson and Florence (Ryan) Carson, grew up in Oxford, and graduated from St. Louis High School. Many knew him as “Speedy”. He is a US Army Veteran who served in Germany during the Korean War. His brother Richard Carson was killed in the Vietnam War. He lived in Webster for the past 33 years. He retired in 1995 as an inside salesman at Peterson Steel Corp. He was a member of the American Legion in Oxford and the American Society of Metals.

He loved cookouts and other gatherings of his family, the retired life at his scenic lakeside home, and the companionship of his dog, Jaida. He enjoyed watching sports and Western movies, playing the lottery, and going to the casinos. He loved trivia, jokes, wit and wordplay, laughed easily and loudly, and knew how to make others laugh as well. He loved to engage all the people he met, with quips, a smile and a sparkle in his eye. Few things in life made him so happy as helping someone in need, and he always stood up for the underdog. Even through the toughest times he would say he was living the dream.
