Stephen S. Smalarz, age 90, passed away at Brighton Gardens, Carlsbad, CA.

He was predeceased by his wife, Josephine (Zalewski) Smarlarz and by his daughter, Patricia A. (Smarlarz) Lusignan.  He leaves a granddaughter, Cynthia Hawkes of Vista, CA.

He was born in Massachusetts, son of the late Jacob and Bernice (Jekot) Smalarz.  He worked for many years in sheet metal manufacturing, retiring from Lusignan Brothers.

Private graveside services were held in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery, Webster.  Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster has been entrusted with final arrangements.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com where you may light a candle or post a condolence message.
