Dr. Peter M. Levine MD

Brookfield- Dr. Peter M. Levine, 69 , formerly of Longmeadow, MA passed away Monday, April 23, 2018 with his loving family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Melanie (Steibel) Levine, sons, Todd (Lilia) of Barrington RI, Evan (Emily) of Hopkinton MA, Jay of Bedford MA, grandchildren Sofia, Julia and Drew, brother Carl Levine and his wife Wendy, brother-in law Scott and his wife Terri Steibel, and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. Dr. Levine was born in Jamaica, NY, the son of the late Herbert Levine and Eleanor (Miller) Levine. He was raised in Brooklyn, NY, graduated from James Madison High School in 1966, Amherst College in 1970, and Tufts University School of Medicine in 1974. He completed his internal medicine residency at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boston, MA. He was an internist and medical administrator in Springfield, MA, loved and respected by his patients and colleagues. His biggest strengths were his ability to connect with people and lead with his heart. Dr. Levine was an avid sports fan and loved the New York Giants, Knicks and Yankees. He treasured his time spent by the lake at his Sturbridge home and was proud to serve as Lake Association President from 2009-2013. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Brookfield Congregational Church or the Quaboag Quacumquasit Lake Association, the QQLA PO Box 370, E. Brookfield, MA 01515, Qqla.org . A Memorial Service will be held at the Brookfield Congregational Church, 8 Common St. Brookfield, MA, Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00am.
