Edmond R. Berthiaume, 86, of Leicester, died Sunday. September 29, 2019 at Rose Monahan Hospice House in Worcester after an illness, surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves his seven children, Marie Baker and her husband, James of Charlton, Arlene Berthiaume, Kathleen Etzkin and her husband, Jeffrey all from Texas, John Berthiaume, Diane Marois of Newport, RI, Susan Flagg of Barre and Eric Berthiaume of Florida; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; his niece and caregiver, Eileen Ramos and her husband Jose of Leicester.
He was born in Worcester, son of Rene and Agnes (Riel) Berthiaume and graduated from South High School in 1951. He later earned a Masters Degree from Worcester State College.
He was a United State Air Force veteran and was a licensed pilot for over 50 years.
He was a math teacher at Burncoat Senior High School for 45 years before retiring.
He enjoyed gardening, listening to classical music and watching the New England Patriots. He especially enjoyed hosting his annual corn fest with his family.
