Webster- Michalena (Lena) Bomba age 92 died Saturday, September 1, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital Worcester. She was affectionately known as Tootsie . Lena is survived by several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by three brothers, Stanley Bomba of Southbridge, Mitchell (Mike) and Walter (Pete) Bomba of Webster, also predeceased by three sisters; Rose Caplette, Stasia Rzeszutko of Webster and Joan Cramer of Berkey, Ohio. She is also predeceased by her long time companion Edward Zalewski of Webster. She also leaves her long time friends of 60 plus years, Sophie Kattori and Millie Beresik.
She was born in Webster, daughter of the late Louis Bomba and Stefania (Mrzyglod) Bomba and lived here all her life. She was retired from Anglo Fabric where she worked as a spinner for twenty eight years. She enjoyed trips to Foxwood's , playing cards, and a great fondness for cats. Lena enjoyed quality time with her family. There are no calling hours. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10 am in St. Joseph Basilica, Whitcomb St., Webster, with burial to follow in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. The family will receive people at the church from 9 am till mass time. Please omit flowers and donations in her memory may be made to the Community Cat Connection, Webster, MA. The Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, MA is directing her arrangements.
