Thompson, CT
Norman Louis Rudzinski, 73, died Friday August 18, with his family by his side at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam, CT, following a courageous fight with heart disease. He leaves his wife of 49 years, Patricia (Poulin), his two daughters, Brenda Rudzinski of Brooklyn, NY and Crissy Anderson of Thompson, CT, and his grandchildren Haley Finn and Ty Anderson who were his heart. He also leaves behind a brother Clifford, brothers and sisters in law and many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Webster, MA, the son of the late Florian and Maryann Rudzinski, he graduated from Bartlett High School and was a longtime resident of Thompson, CT. Norman worked hard on his businesses throughout the years, and had a strong affinity for his dog Bandit, horses, hunting, running heavy equipment, and antiquing and collecting pedal cars. He could always be seen cheering in the bleachers of his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was a humble, social, kindhearted family man who always enjoyed a good laugh and had the great gift of gab. Many people looked to him for a good story and his willingness to always lend a helping hand. He was greatly loved by family and friends and will be deeply missed. A wake will be held on Monday, August 21 from 6-8pm at Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, MA. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, August 22 at 10am at St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster, MA. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital: www.stjude.org. A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com where you may post a condolence or light a candle.
