Rita M. Pare

Brookfield- Rita M (Lussier) Paré passed away peacefully after an ongoing illness, on Sunday, March 18, 2018 with her loving family visiting and wishing her well.  She is survived by two daughters, Michele Connor (Wallace), of Brookfield and Kathy Putch of Ft Myers, a brother in law Joseph Martone. She is also survived by her sister Lucille (Lussier) Hauser (Ruedi), of Noank, CT. and a sister in law Eunice Lussier and many cousins.  She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Louise Lussier, sister Theresa Mahoney of Spencer, her brother Richard Lussier of Auburn, and her sister Doris Martone of Hampton, VA.
She will be missed by her grandchildren, Corinna Frohock, Angelina, Alaina and Ryan Putch. Her great grandchildren, Marion Kimball, Fiona, Esmée and Clare Frohock loved their Memère Rita very much.
She was a loving aunt to her many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins. Rita had a long career as a nurse, first at Worcester City Hospital and then at St Mary’s Healthcare. As a single mom, she worked very hard, went to nursing school had a strong will and a sharp wit. She was also known for her great sense of humor and generous heart. She would often dress up as a clown to cheer up her patients, helping lift their spirits. She was an amazing seamstress and made clothes for herself and her children. She made custom draperies for many clients, even her sister Lucille.

Rita wished to forego a large service, opting instead for a Catholic Mass to be offered in her name.
There will be no calling hours, however the Mass will be offered at Sacred Heart Church 11 Milk St., West Brookfield, MA on Saturday March 24th at 10:30 Am with luncheon to follow in the parish hall.Arrangements have been entrusted to Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street in Webster Massachusetts. A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com where you may post a condolence or light a candle. While floral memorials are lovely, she would have preferred anyone wishing to do so to donate to a charity in her honor.
