Worcester- Suzanne Hamel Gibbons, 85, died peacefully on December 4, 2018, at Christopher House after years of excellent care there. She was a daughter of Wilfred and Aurida LaCroix Hamel of Worcester, sister of the late Lucille Hamel Kuehnle and widow of the late Donald Gibbons. Susie was a graduate of the former Commerce High School and was a big fan of the Boston Red Sox, lobster rolls and the Democratic Party.
She is survived by her sister, Virginia Hamel Stringer of Norfolk, Virginia and four nieces - Cynthia, Stephanie, Amy and Sarah. Susie was especially close to Stephanie who provided loving support and guidance for her well-being. All will remember Susie’s sunny and uncomplaining disposition, despite the challenges in her life.
