DUDLEY – Alexandros "Alex" Kapsounis, 77, of Dudley passed away peacefully on October 25th. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 46 years, Sappho Antoniou Kapsounis; his two daughters, Helen Karamanakis and Margaret T. Mendez; his sons-in-law, Anastasios "Tony" Karamanakis, Natanael Mendez, and Paul Johansen; and his grandchildren, Kosta, Fotini Alex, Jordan, Thomas, Natanael, and Vanessa. He is survived by his sister Kokona Kapsounis Saltou, his brother Efstratios Kapsounis, and his sister-in-law Georgia Kapsounis. He was born to Athanasios Kapsounis and Margarita Kuvaraku Kapsounis in Limenaria, on the island of Thassos, Greece on June 16th 1938. He worked as a fisherman alongside his father and was a decorated swimmer as a young man. In 1966 he immigrated to the United States, seeking a better life for his family. He was the owner of Dudley House of Pizza for over 15 years and a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. He enjoyed travelling with his wife and spending time with his family. Alexandros was a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather and friend, whose every endeavor was to better the lives of those he loved. His was an unshakable resolve, and he lived his life from beginning to end with grace and dignity. His funeral is Saturday, October 31st  with a service at 10:00 AM in Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Lake Parkway, Webster ,burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester, MA. Calling hours are Friday, October 30th from 5:00 until 7:30 PM at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. The family wishes to thank the caregivers who supported Alexandros during his final days. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church.
