Obituary

Athol – Anita Marion Rosen, 94, formally of Leominster, went home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, June 21, 2013.

Born in Ellsworth, Maine on January 31, 1919 to Henry and Goldie Bresnahan.  Anita graduated from Ellsworth High School and continued her education in nursing.  She was co-owner and operator of Anita's Lunch and co-owner of A & A Canteen, in the 60's and 70's.  She worked at Fairlawn Nursing Home in Leominster in the 1960's and again in her late 70's in the laundry department.

Anita was a member of the Leominster United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed volunteering at the plant booth for their annual holiday bazaar and fellowshipping with her many friends there.  Anita was an energetic, always on the go woman.  She loved to travel, cook, shop, sew, knit mittens for her grandchildren, being with other people, spending holidays with her family and having a good time.

She will be sadly missed by her five daughters, Sheila Wyatt and her husband Robert of Tucson, AZ, Wanita Peters of Worcester, Allana Brannon and her husband Rick of Inman, SC, Karen LeBlanc and her husband David of Athol, with whom she resided and was cared for until her passing, Barbara Conner and her companion Daniel Greene of Bostic, NC; twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; a sister, Bernice Crochetiere of California; nieces and nephews.  Anita was predeceased by her 1 st husband, Robert P. Morris who died in 1961, her 2 nd husband, Albert J. Rivard who died in 1976, and her 3 rd husband, Carl G. Rosen who died in 2010, with whom she she enjoyed 28 years of marriage.  Together they enjoyed hiking up Mount Wachusett, well into her 80's.  She was also predeceased by four sisters, Beryl Weber, Eva Cousins, Margaret Hebert, and Mildred Scherer; two brothers, William Bresnahan and Harold Bresnahan.
