Obituary

On Saturday, September 3, 2022, Barbara R. (Borowski) Murray of Charlton, passed away at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.  Her husband of 35 years Terry B. Murray died in 2017.  Barbara was born on June 9, 1938, in Webster to Martin and Dorothy A. (Meyer).  She was raised Dudley and graduated from Bartlett H.S. in 1956.  She lived most of her life in Charlton and also wintered in Kissimmee, FL with her husband.  She worked in the mortgage department at Savers Bank in Southbridge for over 20 years, retiring in 2006.

Barbara enjoyed traveling cross-country with her husband in his tractor trailer truck and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Her patience and common sense made her a great mother, stepmother and grandmother until Alzheimer's Disease robbed her of her mind and great qualities.  Barbara is survived by her son William D. Maynard, Daughters Lucy A. Rivett, Karen D. Terrill, Laurie A. Hudson and Donna S. Boucher, grandchildren Eric, Adam, Ethan, Emylia, Shaylynn, Aymee, Jacob and Sarah, great granddaughters Braelynn and Madison, and her brothers Lawrence and Stephen Borowski.  Also, by nieces Kelly RothKugel, Stacy Garrepy and Kristin Borowski, nephews John, Andrew and Jeffrey Martenstyn, stepdaughters Jennifer Murray, Michelle Chaves and Erin Murray.  Also, her previous husband of 18 years Donald L. Maynard died in 2019.  She also leaves her cat Momma Kitty.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday September 10th, 2022 in St. Joseph's Church,  10 H. Putnam Road Charlton at 10:00 am, followed by the committal service in West Ridge Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home.
