Worcester – Barbara (Naumiec) Hayes, 63, passed away at the Beaumont Nursing and Healthcare Center on Monday March 29, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Barbara was born in Worcester, MA on June 28, 1957, daughter of the late John J. and Louise M. Naumiec; she lived in Worcester for all of her life, graduating from Burncoat Senior High School.  Barbara worked as a service clerk for Big Y Supermarket for eighteen years until her illness forced her to retire.  Barbara enjoyed taking care of her plants and being outdoors where she could enjoy the sunshine.

Barbara will be deeply missed by her son James Hayes of NH; her daughters Aime Godwin of GA and Desiree Lariviere of MA; her sister Brenda Malbouef of Millbury;  five grandchildren; two aunts: Theresa Courtney and Carol Sarkisian; one uncle: David Hammond; her niece Shelly Hayford and two great nephews of RI; she also leaves many cousins.  Barbara was predeceased by her infant son John R. Tatro.

Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home.
