East Killingly - Barbara C. Slater, age 76, formerly of Slater Hill Road, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the Village Manor in Plainfield, CT.

She leaves a brother, William Slater of Manchester, CT.; a sister, Joyce Welch of Florida; and her close friend, Debra Maynard of Voluntown.

She was born in Preston, CT., daughter of the late Clarence and Winona (Bolgier) Slater and lived in East Killingly all of her life.  She was a day care provider early in her life.

Graveside services are Friday, May 18, 2012, at 9:15 am in Westfield Cemetery, Danielson.  There are no calling hours.  Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster is directing arrangements.
