Barry N. Genest, age 66, died Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Davis Place, Danielson, CT from lung cancer. He was born Sept 2, 1949  in Putnam CT. He was the son of the late Norman and Pearl (Laflamme) Genest.  Barry was an army veteran. He served in Vietnam. True to his calm spirit and good nature he chose to remember the good out of all he experienced. He had many endearing and humorous stories to tell friends and loved ones. Barry was very mechanically gifted and worked maintenance for many years at Rogers Corp where he retired from in 2012. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer, and loved to enjoy the great outdoors with friends and family.  He was also a member of the East Killingly VFW.  He leaves behind his son Carl Larose, daughter-in-law Valerie Larose, and grandson Daniel Larose.  Also his sisters Deborah (Genest) King and Cindy Genest, as well as nieces, a nephew, uncle and cousins.
