Obituary

Camil (Babe) Bissonnette, age 86 of Danielson, died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam. He leaves two sons, Kenneth Bissonnette of Cooper City,FL and Glen Bissonnette of Addison, NY; two daughters, Tracy Lupien of Brooklyn, CT and Jill Menard of Danielson, CT; two sisters, Doris Gardner of East Hartford, CT and Gloria Chabot of Danielson, CT; 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson and by his former wife, Angeline (Russo) Bissonnette of Danielson.  He was predeceased by a son, Gary Bissonnette of Woodstock, and by two brothers, Gerald Bissonnette and Armand "Joe" Bissonnette. Babe was born in Killingly, CT, son of the late Arthur and Eva (Perreault) Bissonnette and lived in Killingly most of his life.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in World War II and the Korean Conflict.  Babe was retired and had previously owned and operated a service station, tire shop and car wash in Dayville, CT.

A Mass will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 10:00 am in Saint James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson.  Burial, with military honors, will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.  There are no calling hours.  The family requests that flowers be omitted.  Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster is directing arrangements.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com .
