Obituary

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Cecelia M. Majka, 98, passed away after a brief illness on December 23, 2020 at the home of her daughter, Mary Ellen.  She was the wife of Charles J. Majka who passed away in 1975.   Cecelia was born in Dudley and was a life-long resident.

Cecelia's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving daughters, Mary Ellen Schremser and her husband, Bob, of Dudley and Paula Loosemore and her husband, Michael, of Auburn. Cecelia adored her grandchildren: Amy Kirouac and her husband, Don, Erin Miragliuolo and her husband, Tom, Michael P. Loosemore and his wife, Hilary, and Allysen Feeley and her husband, James.  Cecelia's greatest treasures were her 8 great-grandchildren: Natalie and Haley Kirouac, Annie and Ava Miragliuolo, Michael Ethan and Anna Loosemore, and Madelyn and Jacob Feeley.  She leaves a sister, Marion Bombara of Douglas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a communicant of St. Andrew Bobola Church and a member of its Holy Rosary Sodality. She also was a long-time member of the St. Joseph's Polish Women's Club in Webster. Cecelia enjoyed spending time at the Webster Senior Center and was very involved with the Silver Dippers. Cecelia's deep faith and immeasurable love of God brought her peace and comfort.

There are no calling hours. Her life will be celebrated with a Mass at a later date. Burial will be private. The Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, MA has been entrusted with her arrangements.
