Obituary

Constance Nedoroscik passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 21, 2014.

Connie was a Renaissance Woman.  She owned two businesses, one being Connie's Yarns and Woolen in Dudley. She retired from American Red Cross as a field representative for Southern Worcester County for 17 years.  She had a successful real estate career for over 20 years, listing and selling real estate in the Webster-Dudley area. She was a local reporter for the Telegram and Gazette for over 10 years reporting happenings in the community.

Connie was always community service oriented. She served in the capacity of chairman of the Dudley Historic Committee, Council for the Aging, Sewer Commissioner, 1st Charter Study Commission, and recreation committee. She was a Director for the Black Tavern, and was one of the original fund raisers for the 1st Webster-Dudley Boys Club. Connie was recognized in 1979 as the Patriot's first Woman of the Year. Always time for family and friends, Connie was an avid golfer for over 45 years. She was a member of the Webster-Dudley golf club.

Connie was preceded by her husband John's death in 1980. She leaves 2 children, Jo-Ann Szymczak and William Nedoroscik and their spouses, Chuck and Kathy; four grandchildren Scott Szymczak, Michael Szymczak, William F. Nedoroscik Jr., and Vicki Nedoroscik.

The family would like to thank Webster Manor and the Central Mass Hospice for assisting the family.

Connie's funeral will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014, from the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster with a Mass at 10:00 am in Saint Anthony of Padua Church, Dudley.  Burial will be in Corbin Cemetery.  Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday, May 23, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Red Cross, 2025 E Street, NW Washington, DC 20006.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com .
