Cynthia J. (McGarry) Brooks, age 51, of Thompson, CT, died Sunday, December 22, 2013, at home.

She leaves her husband of 16 years, Rodney O. Brooks of Thompson; a son, Shawn Brooks of Ayden, NC; a daughter, Keri Kelly of Connecticut; two sisters, Shelly McGarry of Manchester, CT and Karen Evans of North Carolina; four grandchildren.

She was born in Waterville, Maine, daughter of the late Donald and Jacqueline (Rancourt) Loos and lived in Stonington, CT before moving to Thompson 17 years ago.  She was a Customer Service Representative for the State of Massachusetts, E-Z-Pass division.  She enjoyed gardening and her pets.
