Danielson,CT- David C. Smith age 65 died at Backus Health Center, Plainfiled, CT.  He leaves his wife Nancy J. (Carpenter) Smith of Danielson a son, Eric Smith of Plainfield and a daughter Elizabeth Smith of Dayville and a grandson, Jackson Ellsworth of Dayville.  He also leaves 2 brothers, Norman Smith of Plainfiled and Robert Smith of Danielson. He was born in Providence, RI son of the late Claire (Cote) Smith and lived in the Killingly area all of his life.  He is a US Marine Corp, Vietnam Era Veteran. He was a custodian at the Pomfret Prepatory School in Pomfret, CT.  He is a member of the AM VETS in Wauregan.  He was an avid fishermen, loved bird watchin and wildlife.  There are no calling hours and all arrangements are private.  Donations may be made in his memory to the CT Audobon Society of Pomfret, 218 Day Rd., Pomfret, CT 06259.  The Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, MA has been entrusted with his arrangements.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com where you may post a condolence or a memory.
