Oxford – David W. Armstrong, 76, passed away on Tuesday May 4, 2021 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Worcester.

David was born in Worcester, MA on October 16, 1944, and grew up in Webster.  After High School, David joined the United States Air Force where he served honorably.  After being discharged from the Air Force, David moved to Florida where he worked as a heavy machine operator for the Hubbard Construction Company.  Five years ago, David was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident; he moved back to MA to be closer with his family who helped care for him while he battled many health problems following his accident.  David was the former president of the Webster Lassie League; he was well known in the local music scene performing for various bands as a bass player and singer.

David will be deeply missed by his former spouse Pauline Armstrong; his son David J. Armstrong of Boynton Beach, FL; his daughters: Donna Gadbois and her husband Thomas of Oxford, and Elizabeth Norco of Putnam, CT; his brother Leonard Bellisle and his wife Bonita of Brooklyn, CT; four grandchildren: Joshua Gadbois and his wife Sarah, Jamie Gadbois and his wife Bethany, Jacob Norco and his wife Angel, and Tasha Gadbois; four great-grandchildren: Lincoln, Noah, and Emma Gadbois, and Clayton Norco.

A celebration of David's Life will be held on Wednesday May 12, 2021 from 9:00-11:00 am at the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street Webster, MA.  Committal with Military Honors will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, Old Worcester Road Webster, MA.
