Debbie A.
(Emond) Brown
May 19, 1962 — Mar 3, 2022
Debbie Ann Brown, 59, of Danielson, Connecticut died in her home on March 3, 2022. Debbie was born on May 19, 1962 in Putnam, CT to Norman and Pauline Emond. She attended Killingly High School, and continued her education at Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in Worcester, Massachusetts. She later studied Thai Massage at Rolf Bodyworks in Sterling, CT and attended an advanced massage training in California to deepen her knowledge of providing pain relief and healing through the power of physical touch, something she was very passionate about.
Debbie loved making people laugh, and her quick-wit and playful humor were sure to bring a smile to your face. She had a fondness for cooking, which she had a natural talent for, and also enjoyed crocheting. She loved gifting handmade blankets to family and friends, and took a lot of pride in her work. Traveling was also at the top of her list of hobbies. She often spoke of her trips to Japan, Ireland, Haiti, and San Francisco, CA, and had dreams of visiting much more of the world. She enjoyed learning about different cultures and ways of life, and making new friends along the way.
Debbie spent years living in Westerly, Rhode Island, where she had her own massage practice. She loved the area and the friends she made there, but eventually moved back to the quiet corner of Connecticut in order to be closer to her grandkids.
Debbie is predeceased by her father Norman Emond, as well as her brother, Thomas Emond. She is survived by her three daughters, Dennie-Lynn Naprava (Robert) of Drums, PA, Jessica Brown of Putnam, CT, and Christina Brown (Andrew Bowen) of Brooklyn, CT. She's also survived by her mother, Pauline Emond, and her brother, Gary Emond. She is survived by her grandchildren whom she loved very much, Katelyn and Christopher Bowen, Giavanna Naprava, and Levi Bakanowsky.
Debbie's family will be holding a private celebration of her life.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Shaw-Majercik funeral home.
