Fitchburg – Dora E. (Monsalve) Montanez, 61, passed away on Wednesday January 6, 2021 at the UMass Leominster Hospital.

Dora is survived by her husband, Jose Montanez, to whom she has been wed for over forty years; her mother Luz Marina (Alzate) Monsalve of FL; her son Eladio Montanez of Fitchburg; her daughter Monica Montanez and her companion Jose W. Perez of Fitchburg; three brothers: John Monsalve of CA, Javier Monsalve of FL, and Jorge Monsalve of Colombia; six grandchildren: Nasely, Dianelys, Adrain, Natasha, Ninoska, and Christian; she also leaves many relatives and friends; she was predeceased by her father Jesus Monsalve.

Dora was born in Bogota, Colombia on May 26, 1959; she worked as a nurse for many years and was a devout Catholic, belonging to the St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Fitchburg for many years. Dora will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
