DORIS LEAVENS STEWART Doris Leavens Stewart, 87, passed away at home in Spring Hill, FL on Friday, May 22, 2015, surrounded by family and friends. Doris was married for 57 years to the late Hamilton S. Stewart, who passed away in 2005. She had five children: Hamilton S Stewart, Jr. of O'Fallon, IL; Douglas H. Stewart and Allison Stewart of Spring Hill, Fl; Lee Ann Cardella (deceased, 2013); and Nancy Lopes of Southbridge, MA. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Doris lived most of her life in central MA before moving to FL in 2001. She had a long career in the ladies retail fashion world, working for such companies as The Bridal Shop (Dudley), Kouri's (Webster) Denholm & McKay (Worcester) and as a buyer and department manager for Jordan Marsh Company. A lifelong lover of theater, Doris acted extensively in community theaters in Holden, Sturbridge, at Nichols College and elsewhere and she was a long-time supporter of the Hubbard Regional Hospital Guild. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 11 AM at the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, MA. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society
