Spencer - Dorothy A. (Conrad) Chickering, age 56, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at home.

She leaves a son, Nathan Chickering and his wife Patricia of Southbridge; three daughters, Claire Williams and her husband Russell of Woodstock, CT., Colleen Chickering of East Brookfield, Morgan Chickering-Cronican and her husband Patrick of Spencer; three brothers, Richard Anderson of Pennsylvania, Raymond Conrad Jr. of Delaware and William Conrad of New York; three sisters, Connie Grzembski of Florida, Ellen Lincourt of Worcester and Hope Wilson of Southbridge; five grandchildren, Chloe Chickering, Jasmine Williams, Ashley Williams, Austin Rodriguez and Aidan Cronican.

She was born in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Raymond Sr. and Millicent (Swan) Conrad.  She lived in Sturbridge most of her life, moving to Spencer one year ago.  She was formerly employed at the OFS Fitell Fiber Optics Company as a Technician.  She loved to crochet and to read.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 12 Noon in the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 446 Hamilton Street, Southbridge.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 446 Hamilton Street, Southbridge, MA 01550.  There are no calling hours.  Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster is directing arrangements.   A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com .
