Dorothy R. Cragen, of Sarasota, FL., formerly of Webster, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Consulate Health in Sarasota.  She was 99 years of age.

Her husband of 55 years, Donald L. Cragen died in November 1992.  She leaves a son, David C. Cragen and his wife Mary of Leesburg, FL; a daughter-in-law, Helen Hyde and her husband Bill; her grandchildren, Jenifer Gallagher and her husband Paul, Jessica Collins and her husband Tim, Donald Cragen, Patricia Morales and her husband Gabriel, Paul Cragen; five great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, and one step-great-great-grandson.  She was predeceased by a son, Donald E. Cragen who died in April 2000.

Dorothy was born in Boston, daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Crafts) Sheehy.  She graduated from Medford High School and The Boston Dispensary as a Laboratory Technician in 1936.  She moved to Webster in 1936 and worked for many years at Hubbard Regional Hospital, retiring in 1978.  She was a former member of the Webster Emblem Club.  She enjoyed playing cards, gardening and sewing.

The family would like to thank the nurses and nurse's aides from Consulate Health Care for all their help in caring for Dorothy in her later years.

Private funeral services will be held.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley.  A memorial Mass will be announced at a later date.  Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster is directing arrangements.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com.
