Edward A. Streich, age 83 of Dudley, died Saturday, April 26, 2014 at UMASS Memorial Health Care, Worcester.

He leaves his wife of 51 years, Nancy A. (Laincz) Streich; a brother-in-law, John Laincz and his wife Jeannette of Dudley; a sister-in-law, Justine Hautaniemi and her husband Richard of Sterling; a niece, Donna Hohler and her husband Robert of Webster; a grand-niece, Dr. Stephanie Pennington and her husband Bryan of San Diego, CA; a grand-nephew, Jonathan Hohler and his wife Melissa of Webster.

Ed was born in Webster, son of the late Edward J. and Lila (Chabot) Streich and lived in Dudley all his life.  He was a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran, serving in Korea.  He was a salesman for Oxford Pickle, Hanover Foods and Cains.  He had also worked at Wyman Gordon and retired from the MA Turnpike Authority.  After his retirement, he worked at the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home.  Through the years he also worked as a bartender at Indian Ranch and the Lodge.

Ed was a member of the Webster Knights of Columbus and was a 4 ^th Degree Knight.  Additionally, Ed was a member of the Webster American Legion.  He enjoyed playing pitch and taking care of his Koi fish.

A military funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, from the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster with  a Mass at 10 am in Saint Louis Church, Lake Street, Webster.  Burial will be in Saint Denis Cemetery, Douglas.  Calling hours at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 29th from 5 to 7 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Webster-Dudley Veterans Council, Veterans Way, Webster, MA 01570.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com.
