Edward M. Therrien, age 56, of North Grosvenordale, a loving husband, father, son and brother, died Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves his wife of 11 years, Kylee D. (Warren) Therrien of North Grosvenordale; his parents, George and Jacqueline (Savage) Therrien of North Grosvenordale; two sons, Mark Therrien of North Grosvenordale, one daughter, Stefanie Perrine of North Grosvenordale; two brothers, Richard Therrien and his wife Melissa of New Boston, NH, Philip Therrien and his wife Wanda of Wauregan, CT; one sister, Celeste Therrien of Sturbridge; two grandchildren,a Godson, Randy Fifield of North Grosvenordale; many aunts, uncles, a niece, nephews, great nephews and cousins.
Ed was born in Webster, MA and lived in Connecticut all his life. He worked at Wyman-Gordon for 38 years. He was a 4th Degree Knight at the Putnam Knights of Columbus and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, #2087 in North Grosvenordale. Ed was very active with Boy Scout Troop #21 for over 20 years. He earned his wood badge building the bridge at J.N. Webster Boy Scout Camp. In 1997, he was the George Meaney Award recipient. Ed enjoyed camping, loved attending the Fryberg Fair and loved Old Orchard Beach, ME, where he spent many summers as a kid.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Ed on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at 2 pm at the Knights of Columbus, 1017 Riverside Drive, North Grosvenordale. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Knights of Columbus, 1017 Riverside Drive, North Grosvenordale, CT 06255 or the Saint Joseph's Church Food Bank 18 Main Street, North Grosvenordale, CT 06255. Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster, MA has been entrusted with arrangements. A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com where you may light a candle or post a message of condolence.
