Frances B. Lubans

1940 - 2025

Worcester – Frances B. (Chouinard) Lubans, 85, of Mary Scano Dr., died Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Christopher House.  Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Leona (Gonyer) Chouinard.

Mrs. Lubans was the owner and operator of The Coffee Shop in Hubbardston and Casa Blanca Tanning & Nails in Hanover. For many years Frances worked in the restaurant industry, first at Anthony's Pier 4 in Boston and later at many Florida resorts as a waitress, bartender and beverage manager.

In her retirement years she was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary in Worcester and was a Senior Companion at Christopher House.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Deborah Hoag of Worcester; her brothers, Richard Chouinard and his wife Veronica of Northborough, Roger Chouinard and his wife Carol of Provo, UT, Bruce Chouinard and his wife Cindy of Baldwinville, and Gary Chouinard and his wife Ginny of Tucson, AZ; her granddaughter, Leah Hoag of Weymouth, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Steven Blodgett, her brothers, Donald and Paul Chouinard and her sister, Carol Chouinard.
