Francis "Frank" D. Bator 1955 - 2026

Francis "Frank" D. Bator, age 70, of New York, NY, died on Monday, July 13, 2026, at New York Presbyterian Hospital, New York, NY. Frank was born in Ludlow, MA, son of the late Frank A. and Adele (Dyl) Bator and was married to Breck Bator Pierce. Frank also leaves his sister Toni A Bator of Hatfield, MA. Sister in-laws Debra Pierce Durant of Marlborough. MA, Kimberly Pierce of Grant, MI., Jennifer Bogin of Hatfield, MA. Brother in-laws Stan Pierce of Chicopee, MA and Richard Majercik of North Grosvenordale, CT. Frank was a lifelong resident of Massachusetts where he worked at various positions, his last being at UMass Amherst where he worked for fifteen years before moving to New York City in 2012. Frank's zest for life brought him in contact with various people all over the globe where he made lasting impressions that continue to touch those who met him. His multiple encountersthroughout his life in NYC brought him in contact with various celebrities also, such as Meryl Streep, Debra Harry and Taylor Swift to name a few and which he was very proud of. Frank had a habit of randomly meeting people and carrying on conversations without any hesitation. This was one of the wonderful and interesting qualities of Frank. He wanted to meet people and took the opportunity to pursue it.  He made a lasting impact that will never fade. Frank enjoyed life to the fullest and was happiest surrounded by his NYC experiences. Frank will be missed by everyone that knew him, most of all his partner and husband of forty-three years Breck.
