Worcester - Gertrude (Halle) Melancon, age 90, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on September 26, 2021.

She is survived by her son Robert Melancon and granddaughter Jessica Melancon. Grandchildren Adrian, Jason, Crystal, John and Great-Grandchildren Gabriel, and Skyler

She was born in Bedford NH and educated in Manchester NH.  She graduated from Manchester High School West and received her RN in NH and MA.

Gertrude was predeceased by her husband Gerald of 59 years, three brothers and one sister.  She leaves her sister Irene (Halle) Desruisseaux of Manchester NH.

Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 23 Fales Street, Worcester MA on Friday October 8th at 11am.  A visitation hour will be at 10am prior to the church service.  Mask required for the service per state and federal regulations.

Gertrude will be laid to rest next to her husband Gerald at a later date at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon MA.

It is requested that flowers be omitted and donations made in her name to a charity of one's choice.
