Gibson D. Phillips Sr., age 74 of Oxford, died Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at UMASS Medical Center, Worcester.

He leaves two sons, Gibson Dean Phillips Jr. of South Glenn Falls, NY and Todd Phillips of Argile, NY; two daughters, Deanna Phillips of Glenn Falls, NY and Theresa Barton of New York; six grandchildren.

He was born in Woodsville, New Hampshire, son of the late Gifford and Geraldine (Dolly) Phillips and lived in Vermont before moving to Oxford in 1990.  He was a self employed carpenter and was a United States Army Veteran, having served in Vietnam.
