Gladys (Marcinczyk) Plasse of Webster, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 48 years, Stephen Plasse of Webster, MA, her two daughters, Teresa Wright and her husband Martyn of Millbury, MA and Elaine Bonneau and her husband Dan of Webster, MA, three granddaughters, Caryna Wright of Millbury, MA, Emma and Victoria Bonneau of Webster, MA. She also leaves behind her family in Poland, her brothers Slawomir Marcinczyk and Janek Marcinczyk, and her sisters Anna Rydel, Celina Zysk and Halina Dzienisz. She also leaves behind her cousins, Anita Cichowski and Henry Marcinczyk of Dudley, MA and John Banach of Leicester, MA.
She was born Wladyslawa Marcinczyk on June 30, 1940 to Wladyslawa and Boleslaw Marcinczyk of Charubin, Poland. She came to America in 1964. She worked at Webster Spring in Oxford, MA and Big D Supermarket in Webster, MA. She was a member of St. Joseph's Basilica and the Polish Women's Club. She loved to be with her family and her greatest pride was her three granddaughters.
Gladys is predeceased by her parents, Wladyslawa and Boleslaw Marcinczyk, her brother Jozef Marcinczyk and her in-laws, Sue and Joseph Plasse for whom she cared for in their later years.
Gladys' family wishes to thank the staff at UMASS Medical Center and Memorial Hospital especially the vascular team.
There will be no calling hours and burial will be at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Scleroderma Foundation at www.scleroderma.org
The family also asks that you perform a random act of kindness in Gladys' honor as she was the kindest, sweetest, most gentle soul on Earth.
