Webster – Harold F. Basins, 96, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday June 29, 2021 while at the Lanessa Extended Care in Webster.

Harold was born in Webster, MA on September 21, 1924, son of the late Walter and Emma (Scheibler) Basins; he worked as a welder for many years prior to his retirement and served honorably in the United States Army during World War II; he greatly enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling, spending time with his family.

Being predeceased by his wife Doris (Carrier) Basins, Harold is survived by his three sons: Donald Basins and his wife Dianne of England, David Basins of Webster, and Dennis Basins of Webster; his sister Joyce Basins; two granddaughters: Amy Basins-Jones and Annette Whitley; his great-grandchild KJ; he also leaves many nieces, nephews, and relatives.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Harold's life will be scheduled and announced at a later date.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home.
