Helen P. (Pocis) Wolven, age 84, of West Brookfield, died Friday, October 11, 2013, at home.

Her husband, Raymond Wolven died in 1993.  She leaves a son, Mark Wolven of Brookfield and a daughter, Donna Wolven of West Brookfield.  She was predeceased by her brother, James Zacharevicz, and by her sisters, Josephine Borglund, Ida Hamel, Bernice Nyaiel and Veronica Fountain.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late John and Josephine (Letukis) Pocis and lived in West Brookfield since 1973.  She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse having worked many years with handicapped adults for the State of Massachusetts.  She loved to travel and spend time in Maine.

There are no calling hours.  A private graveside service will be held in Walnut Grove Cemetery, North Brookfield.  At the request of the family, flowers and donations are to be omitted.  An Olive Tree will be planted in her memory in Israel.  Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster is directing arrangements.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com .
