Southbridge – Ilse R. (Thewes) Brule, 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday May 22, 2021.

Ilse was born in Bremen, Germany on September 18, 1929, daughter of the late Hans and Franchezea Thewes; she worked as a waitress for many years prior to her retirement.  Ilse very much enjoyed to go shopping and to spend time with those she loved.

Being predeceased by her husband, the late Harold E. Brule, Ilse is survived by two sons: Arthur A. Snow III of Warren and Brian J. Snow of Southbridge; two daughters: Lisa M. Perry and Angela M. Barrett, both of East Brookfield; she also leaves two brothers and two sisters who reside in Germany as well as ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.  Ilse was also predeceased by two sons David B. and Wayne R. Snow, and by her daughter Joanne Twomey.

Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home.
