Obituary

Inger M (Traulsen) Christensen, 78, passed away January 13, 2015 at St Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a battle with bone cancer.  Born November 5, 1936 in Esbjerg, Denmark she immigrated with her husband and son to the United States in 1957.  She was the wife of Pouel B Christensen, and in June they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. She was the daughter of the late Orla and Magny (Christensen) Traulsen.  Besides her husband Pouel, she is survived by her son Preben B Christensen and his wife Mary of Westborough and one granddaughter Erica Marie Christensen of Westborough.  She is also survived by two brothers, Erik Traulsen and his wife Ingrid of Palm Coast, FL, Henning Traulsen and his wife Karlene of Southington, CT, and two sisters Beatta Kinz and her husband Robert of Framingham, MA, and Doris Lisbet Giroux and her husband Mark of Oxford, MA, and many nieces and nephews. In the 1960's Inger worked at the Keys Department Stores in Webster and Milford as a buyer/supervisor. Inger has been a Real Estate broker in Massachusetts and Connecticut for the past 40+ years, working at Coldwell Banker since the early 1980's.  She achieved many of the highest awards possible, helping many families achieve their dream. Inger attended many educational seminars and prided herself in keeping current with her field. Inger has been very active her entire life as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and she always loved to help people both in a spiritual and material way.  She and Pouel were among the early members of the Webster/Oxford Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. A memorial service to honor Inger will be held at Mechanics Hall  321 Main Street, Worcester, MA, on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11 AM, followed by a reception line and luncheon.  The family asks that flowers be omitted.
