Dudley- J. Rene Blanchette age 85 died Thur. Sept. 4, 2014 at the Brookside Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Webster.  He leaves his wife Mary A. (Mangan) Blanchette of Dudley.  He also leaves 2 sons Gary and his wife Karen Blanchette of Oxford and Mark Blanchette of Dudley, 2 daughters, Lisa and her husband Daniel McTigue of Worcester and Paula and her husband Paul Colacchio of Dudley and 6 grandchildren.  He also leaves 2 sisters; Rita Bernier of Putnam, CT and Priscilla Ethier of Millbury and 2 brothers, Raymond and Roland predeceased him. He was born in Thompson, CT son of the late, Hector and Yvonne (Chaput) Blanchette and lived in Dudley most of his life.  He was a US Navy Veteran.  He was retired from Pratt Whitney where he was an electronic engineer.  He was an avid sports fan, loved to read, especially current events. There are no calling hrs.  A military funeral will be held Tue., Sept. 9, 2014 with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Dudley Hill Rd. , Dudley with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley.  Please go directly to the church.
