Jacques Marcq, 92yrs, of Dudley MA passed peacefully at home on November 18, 2022. Born in Calais France, with the assistance of his Godmother Helen Morton he emigrated to the USA after WWII, where he became a US citizen and proudly served in the US Army (Korea). Jacques was married to his loving wife Patricia A. (Sheehan) Marcq from 1954 until her passing in 2012. He was a retired electrician from the MBTA and IBEW Local 103. He was also a lifelong artist, craftsman and woodworker. Jacques is survived by his three children (and their spouses), Stephen & Pauline Marcq, Daniel & Laura Marcq, and Lauren & Jeffrey Kearns, and his sister Claudette Amberge of Germany. He was also a very proud grandfather and great grandfather, and leaves many relatives in France and throughout Europe. In his memory, donations can be made to the Salvation Army. At Jacques' request, there will be no visitation. Jacques will be buried beside his wife at the National Cemetery in Buzzards Bay, MA. A memorial service will be held at the National Cemetery this coming spring. All will be welcome.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home.
