Obituary

South Barre. MA- James M. Bowdring, age 69, died Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, Worcester.

He leaves his wife of 49 years, Linda S. (Stevens) Bowdring; a son. Paul H Bowdring of South Barre; three brothers, Ronald and Mick, both of Ontario and William of Bell Island, New Foundland; four sisters, Jul Crann, Agg Crann both of Bell Island, New Foundland, Bev Hill of Ontario and Lillian Bowdring of Alberta, Canada; three Godchildren, Wayne P. St. Louis , Erik Nickel and Kimberly Starkweather; many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a brother, Robert and two sisters, Jean Cobb and Peg Gurkin, all of Bell Island, New Foundland.

He was the son of the late Harold Bowdring and Elizabeth (Hutchins) Bowdring and lived in Barre most of his life.  He was a machinist for Charles G. Allen Co. in Barre and was a life long member of the South Barre Rod and Gun Club.  He enjoyed fishing and the Boston Red Sox.

There are no calling hours.  A graveside service will be announced at a later date and will be Saint Joseph Cemetery, Barre.  Omit flowers with donations made to the American Cancer Society.  Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster, MA has been entrusted with arrangements.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com where you may post a condolence or light a candle.
