James J. Cahill Jr., age 79 of Dudley, died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge.

He leaves his wife of 34 years, Yvonne M. (Arpin) Murzycki Cahill of Dudley; two sons, James J. Cahill III and Janet of Foxboro and Stephen Cahill and Therese Bills of Deltona, FL.; a step-son, Mark Murzycki of Webster; a step-daughter, Jacqueline Phelps and Joel Phelps of Webster; seven grandchildren, Jodie, James IV, Mark, Michael, Jaime, Danielle and Nathan and five great-grandchildren; his beloved aunt Sally Barnaby of Webster; and cousins in Maine.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Cahill and by a step-son, Edward Murzycki. James was born in Pascoag, RI, son of the late James J. Sr. and Anna (Kraus) Cahill and lived in Dudley most of his life.  He was a truck driver at Wajer Express for over 35 years.  He enjoyed fishing and square dancing.

There are no calling hours.  Funeral services and burial in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery, Webster are private.  The family requests that flowers be omitted and that donations be made to the MSPCA to save a dog.  Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster, is directing arrangements.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com .
