Worcester- Jan Baran age 57 passed away at his home, Thursday, January 7, 2019.  He leaves his wife of seventeen years, Zdenka Polakova.  Jan also leaves five sisters.

He was born in Slovakia son of the late Jan Baran and Emelia (Skokanova) Baran and lived here for the past 23 years prior to that living in Slovakia.  He was a roofer, employed by the Roofers Union, Local 35.  Jan enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds and building bird houses.  There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 15, 2019 at 4 PM at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Ward St. Worcester, MA.  The Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, MA has been entrusted with his arrangements.  A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com where you may post a condolence or light a candle.
