Jason T. Mistark 1983 - 2026
Jason T. Mistark, whose laughter and warmth touched the hearts of all who knew him, passed away on June 11, 2026, at the age of 43, in Norwich, Connecticut.
Jason was born on April 10, 1983, in Putnam, Connecticut, the beloved son of the late Thomas E. Mistark and the late Tracy L. (Stone) Mistark. His life was filled with love, joy, and an unwavering spirit that left an indelible mark on those around him.
Jason graduated from Killingly High School in 2001. During his time there, he was an active member of the Golf and Table Tennis Teams, sports that would remain lifelong passions.
A skilled tradesman by profession, Jason worked diligently as a painter and roofer. His commitment to his craft was matched only by his integrity and the pride he took in a job well done.
Beyond his professional life, Jason was a man of many passions. His love for the great outdoors was unparalleled, and he found solace in hiking and fishing. He was an avid golfer and a fierce competitor in table tennis. Volleyball and other sports also held a special place in his heart, as they afforded him the opportunity to connect with others and share in the joy of friendly competition.
Jason's family was his greatest treasure. He leaves behind his dear sister, Brittany Kight, and her husband Nathaniel of Dayville, who cherished him deeply. He was the devoted and playful "Uncle Jay-Jay" to his nieces and nephew: Angela, Emily, Lucy, Jasmine, and Bradley Kight, who will forever hold dear the countless memories of laughter and love he gifted them. Jason's canine companion, Wyatt, was his steadfast friend, offering unconditional love and companionship throughout the years.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Jason will be held on July 31, 2026, at the East Killingly Fire House, located at 1395 Hartford Pike, East Killingly, CT, from 5:00-8:00 pm. Family, friends, and all whose lives Jason touched are warmly invited to gather and share in remembrance of a remarkable man who brought so much light into the world.
Jason's legacy is one of kindness, joy, and an enduring zest for life. May he rest in peace, knowing the profound impact he had on this world and the people who were fortunate enough to call him family and friend.
