Putnam - Jeannette M. (Martel) Jodoin, age 73, of 79 Pomfret Street, died Friday, February 29, 2008, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Her husband, Earl D. Jodoin Sr. died July 7, 1992. She is survived by her son, Earl D. "Butch" Jodoin Jr. of Putnam; her daughters, Bernadette "Bridget" Johnston and her husband Todd of Vernon, Rose Heath and her husband Steven of Chaplin; a grandson, Travis Egan of Raleigh-Durham, NC; a granddaughter, Earlene Ames of North Grosvenordale; her great-grandson, Maddix Egan; and great-granddaughter, Mikaela Andreas. She also leaves her close friend, Donna Sirrine of Putnam. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Delphis "Del" Martel and Rene Martel, and by her sister, Bernadette Credit.

Jeannette was born in Putnam, CT, daughter of the late Oscar and Ida Rose (Coderre) Martel and lived in Putnam all her life. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at 11:00 am in Grove Street Cemetery, Putnam. Calling hours at the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster are Monday, March 3, 2008, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Kindly omit flowers .
