Joan T. (Dudek) Skrocki (Costa)
1923 - 2026

Joan T. (Dudek) Skrocki (Costa), of Webster, MA, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at Life Care Center of Auburn. She was 103 years old.

Joan’s life was a remarkable journey marked by unwavering strength, deep faith, and enduring love for her family and friends. Joan was born in Dudley, MA, daughter of the late Zygmund Sr. and Rose (Gwazida) Dudek. She lived several years in Monson, before relocating and making her home in Dudley.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Henry Skrocki in 1969. She remarried and was predeceased by her second husband, Constantine Costa. Joan’s loving spirit is carried on by her devoted family. She is survived by her son, Richard Skrocki and his wife Peggye of Dudley; her sister, Sylvia Kozlowski of Webster; and by her cherished grandsons, Andrew Skrocki and his wife Lauren of Harvard, MA and and Brian Skrocki and his wife Mary of Douglas, MA. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Olivia Skrocki, Vivienne Skrocki, Lena Skrocki, Arthur Skrocki and Franklin Skrocki. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Al Dudek, Edward Dudek, Benny Dudek, and Zygmund Dudek Jr.; and by her sisters, Frances Dziembowkski, Phyllis Pluta, and Doris Magiera; she was also predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Jacqueline M. (Zalewski) Skrocki.

Faith played an integral role in Joan’s life, her days were filled with devotion, resilience, and an enduring commitment to those she loved and the community she served. She was a parishioner of Saint Joseph’s Basilica in Webster and was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality. She enjoyed jitterbug dancing and bowling.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for Joan on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 10:00 am in Saint Joseph’s Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster, MA. Please meet directly at church. Following the Mass, Joan will be laid to rest at Saint Joseph’s Garden of Peace Cemetery, Webster, MA. Calling hours at the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home & Cremations, 48 School Street, Webster on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made Saint Joseph School, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster, MA 01570.
