Thompson, CT- John A. Adamuska age 98 died Monday,
Dec. 8, 2014 at Harrington, Hospital, Southbridge.
He leaves his wife Jeanne F. (Courtemarche) Adamuska.
He leaves a son, John A. Adamuska Jr. of Thompson,
2 daughters Betty and her husband Leo Dragon of Charlton and
Debra and her husband Steve Anderberg of CA. He also
had a son that predeceased him, Robert Adamuska Sr. He
leaves a brother , William Adamuska of Dudley. He also had
4 brothers and 2 sisters that predeceased him, Frank, Andrew,
Martin, Stephen, Ann and Mary Adamuska. He leaves a
grandson, Robert Adamuska Jr. of Thompson and who deserves
special recognition for the care giving he gave his grandparents.
He also leaves many other grandchildren and great grand children and nephews and nieces.
He was born in Mapleville, RI son of the late Andrew and Sophie
(Vajcovec) Adamuska and lived in Thompson most of his life.
He was a WW II Army Veteran serving in European and African Middle
Eastern Theater. He received the purple heart for wounds sustained
in the European Theater. He also was a POW for 2 years in Italy.
He was a plant engineer at Putnam Hertzel in Putnam. He was a
member of the American Legion in Webster. He loved
gardening and had a great talent for repairing and maintaining
things around the house.
The funeral will be held Friday Dec. 12, 2014 from the
Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School St., Webster, MA
with a 10 AM Mass at St. Anthony of Padua
Church, Dudley and burial in St. Anthony Cemetery,
Webster. Calling hrs at the funeral home will the morning
of the funeral from 8:30 AM till 9:45 AM. Omit flowers
and donations may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Church.
