Webster – John T. "Jack" Kelly Sr, age 84, of Webster died on April 20, 2022 after an illness. Jack was born on April 18, 1938. He was the son of the late Francis and Mary Kelly of Dudley, MA.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 60 years, Rita (Mendillo) Kelly; one daughter Cathy (Kelly) Cournoyer and her husband Jeff of Dudley; two sisters: Patricia (Kelly) Long and her husband Jack of Bonita Springs, FL, and twin sister Jean (Kelly) Claprood and her husband Donald of Holden. Jack had two grandchildren Brenden and Kelly Cournoyer of Dudley which meant the world to him. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and his daughter-in-law Tracy (Hoeing) Kelly. He was predeceased by his son Jack Kelly Jr in 1994 and his sister Kathleen (Kelly) Perrott in 2020.
Jack was employed by the United States Postal Service in Webster for 32 years. He graduated from St. Louis High School in Webster and Nichols College in Dudley. He was a basketball coach at St. Louis High School and St. Louis Grammar School for many years. He was a member of the Raceway Golf Club. Jack was a communicant of St. Louis Church and was very active in both the church and parish school.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Bryan of the Care Central VNA and Hospice, Inc. for his quality care and sincere compassion during this difficult time.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday April 29, 2022 from St. Louis Church, 15 Lake Street Webster, MA at 10:00 am; Committal Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to the St. Louis Endowment Fund.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home.
