John A. Ozaniak, age 86, of North Grosvenordale, died Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 60 years. Lillian M. (Chupka) Ozaniak of North Grosvenordale; a son, Stephen Ozaniak and his wife Cathy of Webster; a daughter, Pat Cahill of Dudley; two brothers, Stephen Ozaniak and his wife Aurore of Webster, Adam Ozaniak and his wife Therese of Webster; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Anna Yurkevicius of Webster.
John was born in Webster, MA, son of the late Anthony and Karolina (Vnuk) Ozaniak and lived in Wilsonville most of his life. He was a World War II, United States Navy Veteran. He was retired from Cranston Print, Webster. John enjoyed gardening, polka dancing, cars and being outdoors.
John's funeral, will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2013, with a Mass at 11:00 am in Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road, Dudley. (Please go directly to the church) Burial, with military honors provided by the Webster-Dudley Veterans Council will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours will be Thursday morning beginning at 9 am in Saint Anthony of Padua Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Webster-Dudley Veterans Council, Veterans Way, Webster, MA 01570. Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48 School Street, Webster is directing arrangements. A guest book is available at www.shaw-majercik.com
