Webster – Joseph J. Lukasek, 77, passed away at the Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge on Wednesday September 30, 2020.
He is survived by his beloved wife Marlene R. (Lachapelle) Lukasek, with whom he has shared fifty-two years of marriage; he also leaves his son Keith Lukasek and his wife Catherine of Webster; his daughter Nancy Jean Delpesco of Alaska; his sister Elizabeth Nadeau of Southbridge; his two grandchildren Kaya and Kai; he also leaves several nieces and nephews as well as many dear relatives and friends; he was predeceased by his brother Walter Lukasek Jr. of Webster; he also leaves his precious cat Brandy and was predeceased by his faithful dog Princess.
Joseph was born in Webster, MA on June 22, 1943, son of the late Walter and Celia (Klosek) Lukasek, he lived in Webster his entire life. Joe was a longtime member of the local 243 union as well as the Nipmuc ski club. Being a sports enthusiast, Joe was an avid golfer, boxer, body builder, swimmer, and water skier. Joe also enjoyed going to the ocean where he would often go clam and quahog digging. Most of all, Joe enjoyed spending quality time with his family and cherished the trips he took with his grandchildren to Disney World.
A memorial service celebrating Joseph's life will be held on Saturday October 10, 2020 at 10:30 am at the High Pointe Church, 1208 Thompson Road Thompson, CT.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital in honor of Joe.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48, School Street Webster, MA.
